Happy Chinese New Year of the Rooster, dear readers!
It’s an auspicious time of the year, and we’re moving nicely into the second month of 2017. Here is the tarot forecast for the next few weeks in February; I hope they resonate for you and that they help you navigate the next month more positively.
January 30 – February 5
~ 10 of Swords ~
If you’ve been feeling stuck or like you’re running around in circles doing the same thing over and over again and not getting the results you want, take some time this week to stop and reevaluate. Perhaps it’s time to let go and start over. If this thing – whatever it is – doesn’t work for you anymore, if it doesn’t serve you or make you happy, it no longer has a place in your life.
It’s hard to just let go and start over, especially if you feel like you’ve already invested so much into it and you don’t want your efforts to go to waste. But sometimes it’s better to cut your losses; some things are just not worth hanging on to any longer. The sooner you let go, the sooner you can move on to better things.
February 6 – 12
~ 6 of Pentacles ~
Be cautious with what you give away this week in terms of time, money, and energy. Generosity may be a virtue but you must also be wise in the giving of it. If you find yourself giving away too much of yourself to others, you will end up feeling exhausted and drained.
You cannot take care of others if your own health is failing. You cannot give money to the poor if you cannot even feed your own family. You cannot help others to thrive if you are barely surviving. You simply cannot give what you don’t have enough of.
It is okay to put yourself first. In fact, it is essential that you put yourself first. Take some time off for yourself this week to recharge and rejuvenate, and do something nice just for you.
February 13 – 19
~ 5 of Pentacles ~
You will be pushed out of your comfort zone this week and it’s going to feel really uncomfortable. But it can actually be a good thing. It will seem scary at first, because change always is. There’s so much doubt and uncertainty in making changes and moving forward, but sometimes you just need to forge ahead.
It may be difficult to see a clear path ahead of you right now, and you may feel like turning back because it’s the safest route, but the safest route isn’t always best route. Trust that you will be divinely led to where you need to be. You are already halfway there, all you need to do is continue moving forward and you will eventually arrive at your destination.
February 20 – 26
~ The Fool – 0 ~
You may find new ideas and opportunities presenting themselves to you this week. It’s a good time to learn new things and embark on a new adventure. There is always so much possibility when you take a chance and do something you’ve never done before. Sometimes even the most seemingly tiny action towards a new interest can lead to your wildest dreams coming true.
Don’t hesitate if you see an opportunity to try something new this week, especially if it’s something you’ve been wanting to do. Even if it’s something you aren’t particularly interested in and you find yourself thrust into it, give it a chance. See it as a new adventure. Enjoy the journey and learn as much as you can.
February 27 – March 5
~ 6 of Swords ~
Hang in there, whatever it is that you’ve been struggling with for so long now is almost over. It hasn’t been easy and it has felt like such a long journey, but the end is now in sight and things will start getting better soon. Not immediately because you will still need to take care of some things to close that chapter of your life, but the difficult part is done and over with, and the rest of the journey will be much easier from here on out.
Remember to take care of yourself and your needs as you move along, and take with you the lessons you’ve learned. They are hard-earned and they will serve you well in the future.
