Welcome to a new weekly feature on Mynas’ Moon, the Tarot Tips on Thursdays!
Tarot Tips on Thursdays is exactly what its name suggests. It features short and simple weekly tarot tips that will help you understand and read the tarot better.
Numerologically, the number 8 can represent workaholics.
Elementally, Pentacles represent Earth, which relates to physical and material matters. So putting it simply, the 8 of Pentacles usually means working hard for the money.
Of course, there’s a lot more to the card than that. Look at the picture; it looks like a person working hard at his craft, sure, but what else is in the picture?
Look at the background, the buildings far in the horizon, what does that mean to you? Look at the pole where his finished Pentacles are hanging, how many pentacles has he done? How many more is there to go? Look at his posture, his expression, what do you think he’s feeling? Does he enjoy his work?
A picture speaks a thousand words. Let’s be inspired by the 8 of Pentacles and work a little harder this week; write a thousand words in your journal about the 8 of Pentacles.
It doesn’t have to be about what you see in the image of the card. You can write about what working hard means to you. Perhaps you’ve had a hard day at work, write about it. Why are you working as hard as you are? What are you working for?
Or perhaps you’re not working as hard as you could and this card is motivating you to be more productive. Write about it. What can you do to be more productive? What’s holding you back?
Do you want to learn a new skill? Perhaps you’ve always wanted to learn woodworking, or some other craft. Write about it. Anything goes, just let it flow.
Once you get started, you might find that a thousand words isn’t enough. Keep writing if you want to, and enjoy the process.
