Welcome to a new weekly feature on Mynas’ Moon, the Tarot Tips on Thursdays!


Tarot Tips on Thursdays is exactly what its name suggests. It features short and simple weekly tarot tips that will help you understand and read the tarot better. These include tips on:

  • how to remember the meanings of the tarot cards
  • how to understand and use tarot spreads
  • how to interpret the cards based on topics or positions on a spread
  • comparing different tarot decks and their nuances of meaning
  • tarot exercises that will help you expand your knowledge and understanding
  • and much more!

This week, we will learn how you can be proactive and create your own future with tarot.

Most tarot readers will recommend doing a daily reading for yourself and keeping a journal to record your thoughts on the card and the things that happen throughout the day. This is an excellent exercise, and today’s Tarot Tip on Thursday will expand upon it.

Now I would like to emphasize that tarot is just as useful for personal self-improvement as it is for prediction, and I personally believe that “the best way to predict your future is to create it.


A lot of the daily tarot readings ask the question, “What’s going to happen for me today?” For the next week, instead of asking that question and then sitting back passively to wait for things to happen, ask “What can I do today to make it more awesome?

Then find ways throughout your day to do or take positive actions that embody the meaning of the cards. You will be, in essence, creating a better future for yourself every day you do this.

For example:



Five of Cups

This person is feeling sad or disappointed over the three cups spilled and not realizing that there are still two upright cups and an abundant source of water right in front of him where he can refill the overturned cups.

Positive actions you can take:

Focus on the things you have rather than the things you don’t have and make a list of things you are grateful for.

Tell your spouse or partner all the things you love and appreciate about them today. Avoid nagging or criticizing them.

Don’t dwell on any bad investments, business or otherwise. Do some research today and find the better opportunities for you.



At the end of the day, journal your observations. And at the end of the week, journal about your experience with this exercise.
